100 Things I want to do in my life

  1. Finish a novel

  2. Professionally publish a book

  3. Have my own garden, plant vegetables, fruit & herbs

  4. Feel good in my own body

  5. Speak ten languages fluently

  6. Join a ballett class and don't care about what I look like to others

  7. Read an encyclopedia

  8. Visit all continents

  9. Live in the U.K., preferably the North

  10. Go swimming in a lake as beautiful & calm as the one in Austria I swam in years ago

  11. Feel good enough about myself and be serious enough regarding my work to be able to say „I'm an artist/writer/musician“ without shame or irony

  12. Master all Chess openings

  13. Be at a point where sports is only joy and selfimprovement, no punishment.

  14. Master the piano and get over that „silly trauma“ of never being good enough for it

  15. Sing in public. Not in a choir. My voice has to be heard.

  16. Get a PhD or equivalent.

  17. Find inner peace that isn't disturbed by people I don't care about.

  18. Act in a play on stage or in a movie, it doesn't matter how low-key, but I need to be able to immerse myself.

  19. Win a literary prize. Not really something I can „do“ but it is a dream goal for which I can work: write, write, write and be critical & positive.

  20. Play a concert. Even if it's to 3 people.

  21. Record an album.

  22. Live in the nature.

  23. Go backpacking/hiking.

  24. Teach someone else a language.

  25. Have my work in an exhibition.

  26. Work as a critic. Either be payed or get into things for free/get on setlists.

  27. Do work for veganism and animal rights that doesn't merely point the finger and is thereby counterproductive.

  28. Something to raise awareness of mental illness, particularly depression & eating disorders (if/when I'm in a good enough place for that).

  29. Design my own clothes to wear & have a unique wardrobe that expresses my personality.

  30. Wear cloths that would normally make me selfconcious and worry about drawing too much attention. Wear make up when I feel like it.

  31. Try to get a buddhist monk mindset minus the religious dogma shit.

  32. Be able to do splits!

  33. Not worry about appearance so much. It's doing no one any good.

  34. Be politically active & not quiet about my socialist humanitarian worldview.

  35. Read all the classics. They're classics for a reason even when they're no fun to read.

  36. Have a huge library full of books I've read & plan to read. No pretentious stuff.

  37. Write poetry without pointlessly feeling ashamed!

  38. Learn Welsh, Turkish, Finnish, Arabic, Latin, Italian, Swedish, Russian, Japenese, etc. Perfect my Dutch, Norwegian/Danish, English, German, French, Spanish & Icelandic.

  39. Be able to eat intuitivly without counting calories, fat, etc.

  40. Know all countries, capitals, flags and some basic cultural facts about the countries.

  41. Read political theory to understand my political viewpoint better & argue for it.

  42. Go Skinny-dipping.

  43. Do a „proper“ last-minute travel where I don't know where I'm going the day I'm going.

  44. Have & make mixtapes that reflect the stages of my life.

  45. Paint a wall-sized/bigger-than-me painting.

  46. Create a piece of art & let nature destroy it.

  47. Go raw vegan for some time (when I feel fully recovered).

  48. If in a job/life situation that's bad for me: try to get out of it as soon as possible.

  49. Take singing lessons.

  50. Take more weekend/day trips to cities, especially places close to me.

  51. Be at a world cup game (alternatively: watch Barcelona do something awesome)

  52. Go skiing/snowboarding once.

  53. Learn to dance flamenco or tango. Take up tapdancing again.

  54. Go fruit picking.

  55. Learn to fence & shoot archery.

  56. Learn to make tons of alcohol-free cocktails.

  57. Learn to meditate.

  58. Honestly participate in my passion for numbers and geek around without being afraid of the dreaded wrath of (school)math.

  59. Learn more about physics.

  60. Learn tons about biochemistry, it's possible without university courses, too!

  61. Be more relaxed and still ambitious. Moved and passionate, without going crazy and trying to be perfect. Engaged, not lethargic.

  62. Build & maintain strong muscles, take care of my skin and generally be nice to my body. Listen to my body and respect what it needs.

  63. Regularly work out, feel like a “pro” withut the craziness and competitiveness.

  64. Live for health, since mental and physical health combined is everything there is. Eat healthily but only so far as it's mentally healthy, and apply the same notion for working out, avoiding toxins, drinking pure water & breathing clean air.

  65. Be on a radioshow. If not for hosting than for being a guest who gets to pick songs.

  66. Take flattering pictures of myself.

  67. Don't be afraid to be LEA. Smart, strange and quirky but at times dull, normal and slow. All is fine. Respect that there's no black/white.

  68. If I believe something is the right thing to do (e.g. give up my current life situation) I need to follow through despite being afraid of change.

  69. Learn Martial Arts.

  70. Jump on a trampoline!

  71. Don't be afraid of age. Become an old woman who's glad to be alive. There are still so many things to do when you're old. Listen when your body say “I'm too old for this and that” but don't listen to others when they tell you “you're to old for this and that”.

  72. Help other people, preferably on a personal level. Refugees, Homeless, war victims, neglected children, etc.

  73. Go dumpster-diving.

  74. Look feminine. Then look masculine. Then look like myself.

  75. Do something to try and broaden someone's mind about bisexuality and other non-confirm sexualities.

  76. Be & stay an open-minded feminist who's not afraid of the word and its' implications.

  77. Try psychedelic drugs.

  78. Bake space brownies.

  79. Don't be paranoid about clichés. Listen to Stevenson Ranch Davidsons “Nothing's Cliché” when you forget to.

  80. Find a way to have routine and discipline without mental torture. Remember I'm doing all things in my own interest, not for some “greater goal”.

  81. Sleep enough & get up early.

  82. Get a tattoo/tattoos and don't regret/deny development.

  83. Have long-going blogs/websites that some regular readers.

  84. Regularly read books in languages other than German or English.

  85. Keep my notebooks alive. “An uneximaned life is...

  86. Always have lists for things to do. In the pauses when I don't: drift & dream. I always end up at lists anyway.

  87. Play music regularly & don't be afraid of words, harmonic melodies and simple chords.

  88. Go to Glastonbury & let out my hippie me: Don't be anal about which bands to see, just enjoy atmosphere & music all around.

  89. Always broaden my mind: music, literature, culture, language, mroals, films, subculture, science. There's so much, it would last 10 lifetimes.

  90. Don't be afraid of love just because it can hurt. All things that mean something are emotionally multilayered.

  91. Always try new techniques for painting, cooking, photography, etc. Always be a novice, humble & excited to learn.

  92. Have an average weight so you can have people/doctors/everyone shut up about it and don't need to constantly obsess over it. Don't let my weight be this stupid thing they can blame all their shortcomings on.

  93. Speak with a convincing Scottish accent.

  94. Go to exhibitions and museums and try to see the art like a child would. Then stop and look at it myself.

  95. Reguarly get rid of things I don't need. Clothes I never wear, records & books I hate, old magazines I keep for “someday”. Sell, throw away or donate.

  96. Be positive. This is something I can DO. It's not easy but as long as depression doesn't have it's claws fully around me I can fight for happiness. Rationalize, smile and then be optimistic for no other reason but because it feels better!

  97. Have close male friends. Don't be afraid of men in general (they ones you are scared of you can still hate and file under socially-constructed human arseholes).

  98. Learn to do proper pirouettes.

  99. Try to do less multitasking. Breathing and having a heartbeat at the same time is fine. Listening to music and write is, too. Everything more challenging should be avoided. Simplefy and concentrate on the important things and get them done.

  100. Try to live without the internet & tons of electronics at times.

    I'm still behind but I posted a simple raw fruit dish, a watermelon smoothie & a rice asparagus casserole.

    13. Go to 50 different cafés/restaurants. (20/50)
    5 new places. I was on holidays in a tiny town with my mother, so no new great discoveries but at least a new challenge for me as a Vegan...
